I joined Alana and Kyle in Glasgow city centre before their civil ceremony. Afterwards, it was outside for confetti and photographs around the city, before heading to The Bothy for their reception.
Alana and Kyle’s civil ceremony
My coverage started just before the ceremony at 23 Montrose street in Glasgow’s city centre. So this wedding story begins with everyone gathered together rather than morning preparations. There were smiles and a few tears among the guests as Alana and Kyle got married.

Confetti outside
After the ceremony, guests gathered outside with confetti ready for the newlyweds.

Photographs around Glasgow city centre
We took some photographs with their family before heading out for couple portraits. The stone archways, steps and streets gave us a few different settings, with Glasgow’s buildings very much part of the photographs.

The Bothy reception
At The Bothy, the tables were set with flowers, candles and glassware. There was time to photograph some of those details and the guests gathered around the table, as well as more portraits outside. The staff at the Bothy always make this space look amazing. It’s always so cosy looking.

Portraits at The Bothy and around the lanes
The courtyard and cobbled lane made a change from the city-centre portraits earlier in the day. Here are a few from this last part of Alana and Kyle’s collection.
