Jenn and James celebrated their unforgettable wedding day at the stunning Enterkine House in Ayrshire. The day began with bridal preparations at Jenn’s parents’ home, surrounded by her bridesmaids. Hair and makeup were expertly handled by Gillian from Pin Up Hair Glasgow and Olivia from Olivia M Makeup. After capturing the excitement of the morning with the girls, I headed to St. Mary’s Immaculate Church in Shawlands, where their beautiful ceremony was to take place. Before Jenn’s arrival in a classic wedding car alongside her father, I took the opportunity to photograph James and his groomsmen, before the big “I do.” Dan from Wooden Cinema Films was on video duties for Jenn and James, capturing the day’s events through film.
Glasgow Wedding Ceremony
Their wedding ceremony was beautifully officiated by Fr. John Carroll and Fr. Joe Mills. Following the ceremony, we stepped outside to capture some moments. Since Jenn and James live nearby, they wanted a few special photos taken close to their home. Before heading to Enterkine House, we made a brief stop for a lovely photo session right outside their house, adding a personal touch to their day. Take a moment to also admire Jenn’s stunning flowers, beautifully crafted by the talented Jenny from Flower Mug.
Getting married at Enterkine House
As we arrived at the stunning Enterkine House, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make the most of its gorgeous outdoor space before heading inside. The long, scenic driveway was the perfect spot for a few memorable photos, including a beautiful shot of Jenn and James alongside their classic wedding car. Jenn looked absolutely radiant in her gown by Unbridaled, while James was effortlessly stylish in his tartan trousers and jacket by Slanj Kilts.

Jenn and James now had a moment to relax and catch up with their friends and family while I took the opportunity to capture the stunning interior of Enterkine House, beautifully decorated by Jenny from Flower Mug. The floral arrangements were simply breathtaking. Afterward, we gathered for some important family group photos—a must for Jenn and James. I always aim to capture these quickly, allowing the couple more time to unwind and enjoy mingling with their guests before being called in for dinner and speeches.
Wedding at Enterkine House
After dinner and speeches, while the band sets up for the evening reception, I always like to take the couple out for some additional portraits. In my 17 years of photographing weddings, this is something I highly recommend. It’s not just an opportunity to capture more epic photos but also a chance for the couple to unwind, take a quiet walk, and really soak in the moment. Wedding days fly by in the blink of an eye, especially for the couple, and it’s only afterward that you realize how fast it all went. This part of the evening offers a perfect pause to reflect and enjoy the day before the celebrations continue.

Before diving into the evening festivities and dancing the night away, it was time for Jenn and James to cut their beautiful cake, crafted by the brilliant Little Cake Parlour. After the cake cutting, the dance floor came to life, filled with joy and energy. There were some especially touching moments shared between father and daughter, and mother and son, making for a truly memorable end to a perfect day.
