Aude and Gordon chose a Piersland House Hotel wedding a few weeks back. Travelling all the way from France to tie the knot in Scotland, their day was a perfect blend of French elegance and Scottish tradition. My day began with Aude and her bridesmaids during bridal prep, with hair and makeup beautifully done by Audrey McCarthy Bridal Artist. Aude looked stunning in her dress by Sandrine Godin, while Gordon proudly wore his traditional Scottish kilt.

Getting married at the Piersland Hotel
They both opted for a romantic marquee ceremony, where they exchanged vows and shared a traditional quaich filled with whisky—a symbolic gesture of unity.

After their beautiful wedding ceremony, we returned back into Piersland Hotel, where everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés. The couple had requested some group photos, which we captured shortly after. A brief break in the weather gave us the perfect opportunity to step outside for some stunning couples’ portraits.

The marquee, beautifully decorated with flowers and candles by Kirstie’s Flowers, set the perfect atmosphere for dinner and speeches.

As the evening unfolded, Aude and Gordon wowed their guests with a surprise tango performance, showcasing their passion and flair. The night ended with everyone on the dance floor, celebrating well into the night.

Before the night came to an end, I couldn’t miss the chance to take Aude and Gordon outside for some nighttime portraits overlooking the Piersland House Hotel. And what better way to capture the magic than by having them dance an impromptu tango under the night sky?
