Glencoe Wedding Photographer

As a Glencoe wedding photographer, I’m always prepared for whatever the Scottish weather may bring, but Georgia and Dan’s winter wedding at Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe was an absolute gift. The skies were clear, and the sun illuminated the breathtaking Highland scenery. With the dramatic Highland landscape as their backdrop, they shared vows, conducted by the wonderful Niki Smith surrounded by snow-dusted peaks and serene, misty views and of course their close friends and immediate family. The cozy warmth of the Kingshouse brought an intimate feel to the day, blending perfectly with the majestic, wintry beauty outside.

The day began with Georgia in the beautiful bridal suite, where Bonny from Bonny’s Wonderland brought her vision to life with stunning hair and makeup. Afterward, Georgia shared a heartfelt first look with her dad, capturing an emotional moment between them. She then stepped out onto the balcony overlooking the awe-inspiring Glencoe, where she read a personal letter from Dan. The beautiful flowers you see are from the talented Lisa from Sparrow and Rose.

Getting married at the Kingshouse Hotel

For the ceremony, we made our way down to the outside patio at the Kingshouse Hotel, perfectly set against the stunning views of Glencoe. Dan waited with excitement as Georgia walked down the aisle with her dad, and together, they shared a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony that included a traditional handfasting, adding a unique touch to the celebration. After a joyful confetti throw, we headed back inside to sign the marriage schedule, where friends and family gathered around to congratulate the newlyweds and share in the happiness of the moment.

After a relaxing time with drinks and canapés, and a chance for friends and family to shower the couple with well-wishes, we ventured out into Glencoe for some breathtaking couple portraits. We started around the Kingshouse Hotel, where local deer made a delightful appearance, creating a perfect, unique photo opportunity. Then, we hopped into my car and drove to Glen Etive, with the sun casting a golden glow over the landscape. We journeyed further into Glencoe, stopping near the iconic Three Sisters mountains for some truly epic shots. These moments were full of natural joy and fun, and capturing Georgia and Dan against such awe-inspiring scenery was a dream. Before heading back to the Kingshouse Hotel for the evening festivities, we stopped at one final scenic spot to complete an unforgettable session.

Returning to the Kingshouse, the evening reception was held in the cozy charm of The Way Inn, the original part of the hotel before its renovation. With candlelit tables and elegant flower arrangements, the atmosphere was warm and intimate—the perfect setting for heartfelt speeches from Dan and then Georgia’s dad. As the evening drew to a close, it was time for me to wrap up and head home, reflecting on the incredible day I had the honor of documenting. It was truly a joy to capture every memorable moment of Georgia and Dan’s beautiful wedding.
