In true Scottish fashion, the weather delivered its signature drama—sideways rain and swirling winds—but that’s what makes Glencoe so iconic. The day began at the charming Kingshouse Hotel, where Emma, her mum, and her sister were getting ready with the expert touch of Bellabeauty_Bridal.

Eloping In Glencoe
Once everyone was prepped and glowing, we made our way to the ceremony spot. They chose a picturesque location near the Kingshouse Hotel, just past Glen Etive. If you’ve ever driven through Glencoe, you’ll likely recognise the Lagangarbh Hut—nestled north of Buachaille Etive Mòr and near the River Coupall. It’s a breathtaking spot, perfectly suited for an intimate Highland elopement. The heartfelt ceremony was beautifully conducted by Alyson Stewart, with Emma, Joe, and their closest family and friends braving the elements in true Scottish spirit.

After capturing some group photos with their friends and family, we set off for Emma and Joe’s couples’ portraits in and around Glencoe. The Scottish Highlands truly spoil you for choice, with every corner offering breathtaking backdrops. The dramatic weather only added to the atmosphere, enhancing the rugged beauty of the landscape—I absolutely loved it.
We hopped into my car and made our way to several stunning locations, including the iconic Three Sisters of Glencoe, which never fails to provide an incredible setting for photos. Each stop along the way offered its own unique charm, making their portrait session as unforgettable as their day.
