Glasgow Wedding & Elopement Photographer

Hi, I’m John. I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in Glasgow, and I photograph weddings across Scotland.

Before photography, I worked in IT. I started assisting and second-shooting weddings in 2006, then went on to build my own business. It was quite a change from the day job, although the IT skills still come in handy.

Weddings have taken me to the Amalfi Coast, Paris, Yosemite and Alicante, but most of my work is here in Scotland. I’ve photographed everything from small elopements to weddings with a room full of family and friends. You can have a look through some of those weddings here.

I like getting to know the people I’m photographing. You’ll spend a fair bit of your wedding day with me around, so it’s only right you know a little about me too.

How I work

I’ll help when you need a bit of direction, then leave you to enjoy yourselves. There’s plenty to photograph without asking you to do everything for the camera.

My turn to ask the question

This is the video of me proposing to Jacqui in 2014, back when I had more hair and less grey.

She had no idea I was about to ask, or that I was filming it. I’m glad I did, because I still love watching her reaction. I’ll let the video do the rest of the talking.
